Toronto take down London in Skrapz’s debut
Not quite the easiest return to action for Skrapz as the London Royal Ravens faced off against a consistently impressive Toronto Ultra roster so far in the 2023 Season. The lone Canadian team started the series off in imperious form as they clinically controlled Mercardo Las Almas Hardpoint from start to finish. Ultra seemed to be consistently ahead on the rotations and on the rare occasions the Ravens got to the hill first Toronto managed to keep it scrappy, not allowing London to accrue points easily.
It was all the Asim show on Map 2 Embassy as he got out to a hot 7-0 start. Despite his continuous dominance on the map leaping out of windows with no fear the Ravens could not seem to string rounds together as Ultra kept it closely contested before chaining back to back rounds to take the map 6-4. Even an MW2 SnD record of 17 kills from Asim wasnāt enough to get the Ravens across the line.
Toronto looked set to close the series out in dominant fashion as they eased into a 2-0 lead on Hotel Control before the Ravens found some life fighting back to force a Round 5 before Toronto dominated the Round 5 defense to close out the first Series of Stage 2 in a hot 3-0. The Double S duo of Scrap and Standy were a constant force throughout the map going 34-21 and 35-24 respectively.
