Top 5 Fantasy Picks: Stage 5, Week 3

That wraps up the final qualifier stage of the 2023 season. With only Major 5 and Champs left, only the best of the best will remain standing at the close of this season. As we head into Major 5, let’s take a look at who impressed this past weekend.

1. HyDra

Coming in 1st from the final week of online qualifiers is the French phenom himself HyDra. He produced an otherworldly series against the Seattle Surge matching the all-time SnD Kill record with 18 Kills in Map 2 before he doubled any of his teammates in Kills on Hotel Control at an insane 33-13. HyDra continues to dominate for NY no matter their results.

Highlights from Stage 5, Week 3:

#1 Overall fantasy points (219.23)
#1 SnD fantasy points (104.26)
#1 CTL fantasy points (77.52)

2. CleanX

The Great Dane sits in 2nd place with a dominating performance against the floundering LA Guerrillas with a destructive 1.56 KD series. Despite the Ultra falling to Minnesota in Game 5 to close out the week, he once again led the lobby in Kills, KD and Damage.

Highlights from Stage 5, Week 3:

#2 Overall fantasy points (173.17)
#2 CTL fantasy points (75.55)

3. Capsidal

Florida Mutineers may have been eliminated from playoffs contention but they’re arguably looking the best they have all year. Capsidal fried a quite frankly woeful London Royal Ravens roster to start off the week with over 1000 more damage than anyone else in the lobby. Big Cap will be looking to impress in Toronto and hopefully secure himself a CDL spot for the 2024 season.

Highlights from Stage 5, Week 2:

#3 Overall fantasy points (172.52)
#2 SnD fantasy points (91.46)

4. Drazah

The Thieves find themselves in the losers bracket in Toronto after their Major 4 victory but did manage to close out their stage with a victory against London. Drazah fried in the respawns with 28 Kills on both Map 1 and 3 to secure a clean sweep for the Thieves. Back on LAN where they’ve always looked their best, the boys from LA will be looking to power through the losers bracket to make a statement this final Major.

Highlights from Stage 5, Week 2:

#4 Overall fantasy points (153.14)
#4 SnD fantasy points (77.29)

5. Envoy

To round out the list, we have Envoy. Probably the most consistent player for the Thieves throughout the year, Envoy once again had another strong week as the only player to drop a positive KD in both series for the Thieves. Despite their struggles this stage, only a fool would rule out LAT from making a loser bracket run in Toronto.

Highlights from Stage 5, Week 2:

#3 Overall fantasy points (146.72)
#2 HP fantasy points (53.56)
