Top 5 Fantasy Picks: Stage 2, Week 3
The Stage 2 Online Qualifiers are now in the books and we will see all 12 CDL Teams in Boston. Time to see who’s been looking hot going into the second Major of Modern Warfare 2.
1. Pred

There are few players in Call of Duty history like Pred. 2022 ROTY, and arguably 2022 MVP candidate. Seattle Surge may be starting the Boston Major in the loser’s bracket but it’s not by lack of trying from the Australian. Pred led the lobby in kills in both series Seattle played in Week 3 dropping 92 kills alongside a 1.33 KD as the Surge took down NYSL before a 1.37 KD performance with 82 kills in their 3-1 defeat to the Røkkr. Seattle struggled online in Stage 1 before a strong performance on LAN. They will be attempting to repeat that again led by the thunder from down under.
Highlights from Stage 2, Week 3:
#1 Overall fantasy points (202.61)
#2 CTL fantasy points (94.47)
#2 SnD fantasy points (70.23)
2. aBeZy

The undisputed first blood king of Call of Duty, aBeZy set the new season record in Atlanta FaZe’s defeat to OpTic Texas with 10 in the series. His domination this week wasn’t limited to SnD as he produced a 27-8 performance on El Asilo Control to begin the reverse sweep against the LA Guerrillas. FaZe have continued to look like a top team yet haven’t shown the overwhelming dominance we have come to expect from them, can aBeZy lead the charge to FaZe’s first win since Cold War Champs? We’ll find out soon.
Highlights from Stage 2, Week 3:
#2 Overall fantasy points (174.36)
#1 CTL fantasy points (94.72)
3. Cellium

Cellium continues to be the definition of consistency in the CDL. Despite receiving criticism from fans over his playstyle, he continues to let his performance speak for himself. Cellium excelled in Hardpoint during Week 3 with a 61-33 stat-line across two Hardpoints vs LAG followed up by a 31-19 performance on Embassy against OpTic Texas. Cellium is the gold standard for ARs in CoD and perhaps he has become a victim of his own success.
Highlights from Stage 2, Week 3:
#3 Overall fantasy points (146.77)
#1 HP fantasy points (62.37)
4. HyDra

New York will go into Boston probably still as favorites but have started to show a few cracks in the armor. NYSL demolished Vegas on Friday with an 11-4 showing in SnD from HyDra before slipping to defeat in a Major 1 final rematch against the Surge. To quote the King “That guys the best player in CoD right now and I don’t think it’s even close.” and who’s going to argue with him?
Highlights from Stage 2, Week 3:
#4 Overall fantasy points (146.37)
#1 SnD fantasy points (80.11)
5. Dashy

After a very turbulent year so far, we finally saw the Dashy we’ve come to expect this week. A 1.19 KD and lobby leading 11,000 damage wasn’t enough to take down the Las Vegas Legion so Dashy decided to step it up a gear breaking the Hardpoint kill record, series kill record and series damage record as OpTic Texas reverse swept Atlanta FaZe. The King may have fallen but the Dark Knight has arisen to take his place.
Highlights from Stage 2, Week 3:
#5 Overall fantasy points (144.81)
#2 HP fantasy points (52.87)
