Top 5 Fantasy Picks: Stage 2, Week 1

The first week of Stage 2 of the CDL’s 2023 Season came and went in a flash. Let’s see who made our list as the CDL returned to action with a couple of new rosters and plenty of entertaining MW2 action.

1. Scrappy

Another week of CDL and another week of domination out of the young rookie. Scrappy put up the number three KD in the league for the week at a massive 1.48, the best for any player who played two series with his Toronto Ultra teammate Standy in 2nd at 1.26. Scrap continues to look like a shoe-in for Rookie of the Year if his performances continue like this and could he potentially follow in the footsteps of Shotzzy before him and be crowned CDL MVP in his Rookie Season? Only time will tell.

Highlights from Stage 2, Week 1:

#1 in total fantasy points (152.21)

2. Brack

Brack had a strong week as Florida Mutineers went 1-1 in the first week of Stage 2 Qualifiers. Brack put up a 1.21 Overall KD across both the matches but it was his insane SnD performances that impressed the most. Brack somehow put up a 4.0 KD Ratio in SnD over his 3 Maps as Florida Mutineers went flawless in SnD this week. He especially impressed on Map 2 against Los Angeles Guerrillas as he went 13-4 to help Florida emerge victorious in Round 11.

Vivid was a key reason in this as his relentless aggression and dominant SnD prowess was a key factor for the Breach. Vivid was a first blood machine as he had an insane 42.5% First Blood Rate, over double all three of his teammates combined, he also averaged 1.12 SnD Kills Per Round, 2nd for the week to only aBeZy.

Asim was making highlight plays with a huge three piece to take Map 1 against Minnesota as well as putting up a MW2 record 17 kills on Embassy SnD against Toronto. With another rumored roster change, London really need to get Asim some help.
