Top 5 Fantasy Picks: Major 3
Thank you Texas!!! A Major that saw records smashed, an insane losers run and was ultimately capped off with a brilliant Grand Final as the boys from Toronto took down the home town favorites at the final hurdle. Time to take a look at our standout Fantasy performers from Texas!
1. Scrap

Bell Fibre merchant they said! Well, Scrappy certainly proved all his doubters wrong. The Jersey native emerged as the tournament MVP and impressed across all three game modes, and when it game to the most crucial moment he turned it up even more. In the Grand Final, Scrap led the lobby in Kills, Damage and KD with a crazy 1.33 KD across six maps. All that trash talk has now been validated.

2. Dashy

As OpTic Texas stormed through the losers bracket, Dashy certainly picked up steam. His performance as the Green Wall took revenge against the Boston Breach was the highlight as his 1.52 KD performance helped OpTic dominate all three respawns against the Breach. The King fell so the Dark Knight could rise.

#2 Overall fantasy points (315)
#1 HP fantasy points (112.7)
#1 SnD fantasy points (123.2)
3. Cellium

Atlanta FaZe fell short of expectations on Championship Sunday but Cellium certainly did not disappoint. It’s basically an inevitability that Cellium will lead the event in KD and he was matching or even bettering his SMG duo in kills in nearly every series. MC continues to show impressive consistency match after match, event after event, and season after season.
Highlights from Stage 3 Major:
#3 Overall fantasy points (296.7)
#2 HP fantasy points (111.9)
#3 SnD fantasy points (110.1)
4. Shotzzy

Flow state will probably be the most overused COD term for the next month, but for Shotzzy it’s the perfect descriptor. When he’s on form and flowing he’s near unkillable. Atlanta FaZe found this out the hard way in the Losers Final as Shotzzy produced probably the series of the tournament leading his team by nearly 30 kills and over 2000 damage. If we’re seeing a return to MW Shotzzy form, the competition better watch out.
Highlights from Stage 3 Major:
#4 Overall fantasy points (296.1)
#4 HP fantasy points (107.2)
#2 CTL fantasy points (118.1)
5. CleanX

Finally we have the Great Dane himself, CleanX. He was back to his very best this stage with the addition of Hicksy helping to refine his blistering aggression. 102 kills and 1.24 KD against the New York Subliners helped to start the Ultra on their dominant run through the Winner’s Bracket. CleanX continues to be one of the most impactful SMGs in the CDL era and is beginning to mount his case as the greatest European player as well.
