Top 5 CDL Fantasy Picks: Stage 1, Week 2

We are back again with the Top 5 CDL Fantasy Picks of the week. After another entertaining week of Modern Warfare 2 action let’s see who makes our list going into the first major of the CDL’s 4th season.

1. Cellium

Who would of expected to see Cellium on this list? Probably everyone if we are being honest. The 2022 MVP has picked up right where he left off last year, dominating the competition and once again leading the league in Overall KD at 1.33. Despite Atlanta FaZe only going 1-1 in this week’s split Cellium averaged a 1.38 KD over both series this week. He put up a 1.36 KD in the teams defeat to Toronto Ultra with the most kills and damage in the lobby. Death, Taxes and Cellium domination.

#1 in Total fantasy points (169.57)
#4 in HP fantasy points (49.84)

2. Scrappy

Possibly the most hyped rookie of the CDL era, Scrappy has not disappointed so far. The trash talking flex player has been absolutely frying as he led Toronto Ultra to a 3-1 stage and the #2 overall seed. Scrappy put up a 1.73 SnD KD this week and led his team in damage in both series played. Safe to say we can’t wait to watch this man on the main stage.

#2 in Total fantasy points (162.06)
#3 in SnD fantasy points (76)
#2 in CTL fantasy points (45.41)

3. Standy

Standy had a few doubters after a rough sophomore year in the CDL following a standout rookie year in Cold War. He seemed to answer the doubters this week with exceptional performances against Atlanta FaZe and Seattle Surge. Standy didn’t go negative on a single map during this week and put up a clinic vs Atlanta FaZe on El Asilo SnD with multiple highlight rounds. With Scrap and Standy performing like this the boys from the 6ix are armed and dangerous.

#4 in SnD fantasy points (65.78)

The bulldog was rampaging through the opposition as NYSL bounced back from a tough start with a strong 2-0 week. KiSMET led the team in damage in both the series this week and was absolutely dominating on Embassy SnD putting up a 22-10 showing in the 2 maps he played. KiSMET continues to prove that he absolutely has that dawg in him.

The other half of the Subliners SMG duo HyDra takes the final spot on our list. The French Phenom continues to fry for New York especially across the respawn game modes with a 1.18 KD in Hardpoint and a 1.24 KD in Control. HyDra also tied the MW2 kill record this week with a 39 kill performance on Al Bagra Fortress Control to begin the reverse sweep against Boston Breach.
