Sniper GA drama
Chaos erupted as the pros agreed to ban the sniper rifles for the season. However, many pros including Octane quickly took to Twitter to voice their disapproval, and the community was in uproar once again. One day later, the pros backtracked and have since unbanned both snipers and smoke grenades, calling into question the GA process yet again. Is this process being handled by the right people? Will we see a change in how GA’s are being made going forward?
HECZ vs CDL
OpTic Hecz calls out Activision and the CDL for the quality of product in recent years, stating Scump is only retiring because of the state of the game. He also stated that the decision-makers are so far removed from the CDL conversations with the owners that complaints only fall on deaf ears. We can only hope for more communication and cooperation in the coming seasons.
Nadeshot vs Activision
In a rare outburst, Nadeshot kicks off as his Warzone match crashes while on his way to completing the Nuke challenge. Nadeshot slammed the multiple issues with the game that has already earned over one billion dollars in sales, arguably all the more frustrating given the state of the game competitively for his LA Thieves. He apologized for the way he acted claiming that his outburst wasn’t a good reflection of himself. With that being said he made a lot of valid points about the issues with the game.
Pros continue to debate over whether the M4 deserves to be banned for the upcoming season, but some teams are still holding out despite it dominating the meta in scrims. Some theorize that after Major 1 it will be banned, similar to the lifespan of the XM4 from Black Ops Cold War. How will this change team dynamics with the mid-season adjustment potentially being implemented.
Censor Drops Four
Breaking his own record of six kills earlier in MW2, Censor hit new levels with a four-kill performance in a team scrim. Can Doug turn his year around or will the Boston Academy turn to other SMG options in search of success this season? Censor is a huge personality with an unlimited amount of drive but his skill has been on the decline for some time now. We can only hope that Doug can turn it around and show everyone what he is made of.
