The Lost Weapon: Kastov-74u | MWII Class Setups

When the game launched, players quickly noticed that the best SMG wasn’t actual an SMG.

The best SMG in Call of Duty Cold War was the powerful AK-74u. It was fun to use & allowed SMG players to match up against the Krig. In Modern Warfare 2, the AK-74u was renamed Kastov-74u and placed in the AR category.

In the opening days of MW2, it was found that with the right attachments the Kastov-74u was one of, if not, the strongest weapons in the game. With a low time-to-kill and high headshot multiplier, it was quickly deemed too strong.

This led to the gun being placed to the side until balancing to re-adjust it in line with the rest of the ARs. Nevertheless, it is a terrific weapon to bully players with in public matches. Here are FIVE class setups that CDL players used during the opening weekend!
