After weeks of speculation, Florida Mutineers have finally announced Josiah “Slacked” Berry as the fourth member of their 2021 Call of Duty League Roster.
With Slacked consistently scrimming and playing tournaments with Mutineers both on and off stream over the past few weeks this announcement does not come as a surprise to fans of the team and the league.
Slacked is a Call of Duty veteran with experience at the highest level of competition in both 4v4 and 5v5 competitive CoD but his future was uncertain after a rough 2020 season with Seattle Surge. He teamed with Skyz back during the Black Ops 4 season under Luminosity, where they saw varied results, ending the year with a top 6 finish at the League playoffs and a top 8 finish at the Call of Duty Championship 2019, taking home $43,750 and $50,000 as a team respectively.
Mutineers were expecting to head into the 2021 season with a roster of Skyz, Havok, Owakening and Fero but after the passing of Maurice “Ferocity” Henriquez last month the team was forced to find a new fourth for their roster. The roster has looked comfortable with Slacked playing, with the team performing well in scrims and early tournaments on the new game.
