The Boston Breach have decided to make changes to their coaching staff, releasing Head Coach Zach “Zed” Denyer from the franchise.
Zed coached the Boston Breach for three years, joining the franchise since its inception in Call of Duty Vanguard at the end of 2021. During the first season, Zed led the team to a 3rd place finish at Major 2 of Vanguard. In the following season, the Breach made another Championship Sunday, securing a 4th place finish at Major 3 of MW2.
Zed led the team to qualify for COD Champs in his first two seasons, but during Modern Warfare 3 the team fell off the rails. Boston finished with a 6-27 series record and earned just 60 CDL points over the entire season. They became the first team to fail to win an LAN series during the CDL season, going 0-5 at the Majors.
During the Esports World Cup, the Breach rebuilt the team and achieved better results. With wins over Team Heretics and Stallions, Boston finished Top 8 to earn $80,000 and showed flashes of improvement in each series.
With three seasons of coaching experience, Zed will be looking to sign with another franchise heading into the next title.
