Ammo Mods have long been a fan favorite in Call of Duty Zombies, and they’re back in Black Ops 6. These mods provide unique effects that give you an edge in combat, making survival a bit easier. Here is a guide to breaking down everything you need to know about Ammo Mods in Black Ops 6 Zombies.
At launch, Black Ops 6 Zombies introduces five unique Ammo Mods, with the potential for more to be added by developers over time. Each Ammo Mod inflicts a specific type of damage, with a chance for bullets to activate a unique special effect. For now, players can maximize their effectiveness by utilizing the options listed below.
Dead Wire
○ Unlocked at Player Level 1
○ "Bullets deal electric damage. Each bullet has a chance to stun a normal or special enemy, causing them to generate an electric damage field."
Napalm Burst
○ Unlocked at Player Level 6
○ "Bullets deal fire damage. Each bullet has a chance to apply a burn effect on normal and special enemies, dealing damage over time."
Cyro Freeze
○ Unlocked at Player Level 14
○ "Bullets deal frost damage. Each bullet has a chance to slow a normal or special enemy and increase the damage they receive."
Brain Rot
○ Unlocked at Player Level 27
○ "Bullets deal toxic damage. Each bullet has a chance to temporarily turn a normal or special enemy into an ally."
Shadow Rift
○ Unlocked at Player Level 44
○ "Bullets deal shadow damage. Each bullet has a chance to spawn a black hole on a normal or special enemy, warping away those nearby and dropping some from the air at a lethal speed."
Each of the Ammo Mods costs 500 Salvage, one of the in-game currencies in Zombies. Salvage is dropped by eliminating zombies and completing tasks. All five Ammo Mods can be attached to a weapon at once for a cost of 2,500 Salvage.
The fastest way to acquire Ammo Mods in Black Ops 6 Zombies is by purchasing them at the new Arsenal Machine using Salvage. While you might occasionally find Ammo Mods as loot on the ground, they are rare, so don’t count on encountering them frequently.
Adding any Ammo Mods to your weapons adds a major punch, therefore making getting to the Arsenal Machine a priority once you have the set of weapons you prefer.
