The Carolina Royal Ravens are close to signing ex-FC Black Head Coach Mehran "Mayhem" Anjomshoa to its coaching staff.

While the deal has yet to be completed due to budgeting reasons, current Carolina Head Coach Brian "Saintt" Baroska has been pushing for the agreement to be completed. Reportedly Mayhem has also been in contention to join the coaching staffs of Cloud9 New York or the incoming Gentlemates. Sources have added that deals with the aforementioned franchises were also conflicted due to budgetary concerns & politics within the teams.

This move follows the recent report by CDL Scrim Intel that the Royal Ravens have signed Reece "Vivid" Drost to complete their starting roster. With the starting team now locked, the franchise has turned to their coaching staff to search for help going into next season following a season where they failed to qualify for COD Champs.

This would be the third coaching stint in the Call of Duty League for Mayhem, previously coaching for the Toronto Ultra and LA Guerrillas. Mayhem joined the Ultra in 2019 going into the first CDL season as a player before transitioning into the coaching role.

After winning multiple tournaments with Texas Nation in the 2022 season (Vanguard), he was signed to help coach both the Toronto Ultra & Ultra Academy rosters. Following the finish of the season, Mayhem went to the LA Guerrillas for the next season in Modern Warfare 2. Subsequently, Mayhem would find himself back in the Challengers circuit for Modern Warfare 3. He coached FC Black, winning the CDC Boston LAN & helping multiple players enter into the League.

Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days regarding the situation.
