JurNii released by Miami

The Miami Heretics have announced that they have released Juan "JurNii" Gonzalez from their roster.

The Spanish SMG has been on the bench since the start of the Major 2 Qualifiers. After the team lost both of their matches at Major 1 to finish last, the Heretics brought in rookie EriKBooM in his place. JurNii struggled individually on LAN, having a League-low 0.61 overall KD and 0.57 respawn KD.

Since reentering Challengers, JurNii has had his ups and downs. With the Singapore Syndicate roster, Juan finished Top 4 in three Cups and Top 8 in the Elite Season 1. With great online results, they were expected to place well in the Miami Open but ended in a disappointing Top 24.

Now a free agent, JurNii will look to rebound during the Elite Season 2 and Toronto Open. He has announced that he will be returning to Spain as well in a follow-up tweet. With the news that ReeaL has confirmed his visa, JurNii may be able to slot into a top European team instantly.
