The Black Ops 6 campaign offers a fresh take on the mode, letting players star in their own spy thriller.
One of the first tasks players are given is to clean up and improve the Rook safehouse in Romania. To do so, players will have to spend $1,500 in total to upgrade the Training Area, Gear Station, and Weapons Bench. These areas within the safehouse let players obtain improved weapons & perks for the missions ahead. Unlocking these areas is a priority for those playing at higher difficulty levels.
The cost of each area is $500, for a total of $1,500. Players start the campaign with $700, so you can choose one station to unlock instantly. That just leaves the need for $1,000 to get the final two areas.
The fastest way to find that cash is within the 2nd mission of the campaign. You'll start by completing the first stage of the mission, getting to the church tower and assassinating the arms dealer. From there you'll have to escape on foot to the van in order to proceed.
Once in the van, you'll be informed of a meeting taking place between the "Guild" leadership. You'll be tasked with entering the restaurant and making it into the second-floor antechamber. Within the information packet in the van, it gives players options to achieve this task.
You'll want to use the "Alley Left", which gives you vent access to the first floor. Once you've climbed into the vent, take the right-side vent. This will lead to a room with two enemies talking. Proceed to enter the room and eliminate the targets to proceed to leave the room empty.
After the two targets are taken down, you'll see a safe sitting in the corner. It is locked behind a 4-digit combination lock. While you could take the time to guess the combination, there is an easier way to break into the safe. Against the opposite wall, there is a radio that you can interact with. Once the menu is brought up, make the wavelengths the same speed and size, which allows the radio to play a sound bit giving 4 numbers.
Those 4 numbers are the combination of the safe. Putting them in unlocks it and gives a reward of $1,000. Once you complete the mission, return to the Acquisitions Board in order to upgrade the final two areas of the safe house.
The first area is called the weapons bench. Players can purchase perks and weapons here that can be used in missions.
The perks give players more firepower in missions, which is extremely useful for harder difficulties or for missions later in the campaign. Three weapon blueprints can be bought at the weapons bench that unlock for multiplayer and warzone, which can only be unlocked within the campaign.
