Goodbye Las Vegas Legion, Hello Vegas Falcons!

Team Falcons have acquired the Las Vegas Legion franchise spot within the Call of Duty League. After years of speculation that the McCourt family was looking to depart the League, it has finally become a reality.

The McCourt family bought into both the Overwatch League with Paris Eternal and Call of Duty League under Paris Legion. They expanded into Counter-Strike: GO with the purchase of CR4ZY. After leaving both CSGO and Overwatch, the Call of Duty team was known to have a limited lifespan.

In came Team Falcons, who have been interested in buying into the League for many seasons. They’ll take over the Las Vegas franchise and have hit the ground running.

After winning the Esports World Cup in August with multiple top teams across many esports, fans speculated how the new franchise would approach building the team. Some hypothesized that the franchise would spend big money to buy out star players but the team opted to use homegrown talent.

Falcons announced that they will be fielding their Saudi Arabian Challengers & Esports World Cup team going into next season. It will mark the first time that Middle Eastern players will debut in the CDL.

The Vegas Falcons are as follows:

Saud "Exnid" Alotai
Salman "Roxas"
Khalid "Khhx"
Abod "KingAbody"
Lewis "LewTee" Todd
