Breach release Trio of Players

July 12, 2024 8:00 PM

The Boston Breach has announced the release of Ben "Beans" McMellon, Preston "Priestahh" Greiner, Michael "MajorManiak" Szymaniak, and Nathaniel "Pentagrxm" Thomas.

After rumors about new rosters for the Esports World Cup centered around Eric "Snoopy" Pérez, the franchise has now officially acted. These moves position the team to have 3 open starting roster spots, including the need for 2 AR players & an SMG duo for Snoopy.

The release of the Englishman Beans was a surprise. He finished the year with a team-high 1.01 KD with a 79.1 Slayer Rating. Ben was 2nd in the League in damage per 10 minutes in both Hardpoint (4681) and Control (4273), while having the 3rd best SND ADR (191) in the League. Suitors will surely line up to give the flex player another shot heading into Black Ops 6.

Priestahh was a solid 2nd AR for the team, but couldn't provide the consistency the team needed. Preston was a selfless decision-maker who switched from the AR to SMG in the season's final stage. While Priestahh was at his best in Control, his SND gameplay was lacking over the entire year. While he didn't have the best individual season, the former World Champion will be an interesting veteran piece to look at going into next year.

The final transaction was the release of Pentagrxm. After finally breaking into the CDL, he only lasted one stage in the League. The rookie SMG wasn't able to find his flow within the squad but did have flashes in respawns. After his release, Pentagrxm announced that he is stepping away from Call of Duty.

With all of the announcements happening in quick succession, all eyes will be turned to how the franchise will build a better roster going into the Esports World Cup in August.
