Crafting the best loadout in Black Ops 6 is essential to play at your best. For players looking to use one of the brand-new weapons from the Season 1 update, the Saug submachine gun is one of the best weapons in the category.
The Saug resembles the previous Saug in Cold War: a low-recoil, strong SMG that is capable of handling nearly any combat range with reliable damage. These loadouts build on the gun's strengths: while it may specialize in close-range fights, in the right hands, it can compete with virtually any weapon in the game.
With the current meta and mapset in Black Ops 6, Assault & Marksmen Rifles are very powerful and can be effectively used on every map. Although that class is favored, each of the remaining weapon classes can shine with the right loadouts. It is vital to find the right attachments, perks, and equipment to allow you to shine on the map. Below, you’ll find the best Saug loadout in Black Ops 6, how to unlock it, and the ideal class setup to complement it.
The Saug is unlocked on the Battle Pass for Season 1 of Black Ops 6. It requires players to reach page 3 of the Battle Pass, which means it can be unlocked pretty quickly.
Once you have the weapon unlocked, it is one of the best SMGS within Black Ops 6 and instantly competes with the Jackal PDW & Tanto .22 for the strongest SMG. It has a very good fire rate and bullet velocity while having very little recoil. The base weapon can five-shot kill by just body shots, as the headshot damage is just 24 damage. With the fast fire rate, the time-to-kill is still very good and is more forgiving for missing shots. Below are the complete weapon statistics for the Saug:
"Fully automatic submachine gun. Excellent mobility and good handling. Great rate of fire. High recoil."
Levels: 39
MAGS: 4
MAG SIZE: 36
Each weapon within Black Ops 6 has nine Military Camos, two Special Camos, and four Mastery camos for both multiplayer and zombies.
The Military Camos for multiplayer are unlocked by headshot kills, requiring 100 to completely finish the category. In Zombies, players must get 2,000 critical kills in order to complete the Military Camos in that mode. Finally, in Warzone, players have to get 100 eliminations in Warzone to finish the Military camos.
The Special Camos are:
Multiplayer
Netherworld Camo: Get 30 Point Blank Kills with the Saug
Solar Tide Camo: Get 50 Kills while moving with the Saug
Zombies
Whisper Camo: Get 300 Eliminations with Dead Wire equipped on the Saug
Limewave Camo: Get 300 Point Blank Kills with the Saug
Warzone
Blue Lagoon Camo: Get 5 hipfire kills with the Saug
Firethorn Camo: Get 3 kills in a single match 5 times with the Saug
To complete the Mastery Camos, we have a complete guide to each. They include Gold, Diamond, Dark Spine, and Dark Matter in multiplayer. In Zombies, the Mastery Camos are Mystic Gold, Opal, Afterlife, and Nebula. Warzone mastery camos have also been added in the Season 1 update and include the Gold Tiger Camo, King's Ransom Camo, Catalyst Camo, and Abyss Camo.
In Black Ops 6, players don't have to fully level up the Saug in order to unlock all of the camos or to build a good weapon class. Below is a great low-level class setup for the Saug:
Muzzle: Suppressor
Barrel: Long Barrel
Underbarrel: Vertical Foregrip
Rear Grip: Quickdraw Grip
