Atlanta’s 12-series win streak by the numbers
With each victory, Atlanta FaZe has inched closer to history as they approach the record for the longest win streak in Call of Duty League history.
FaZe is within one victory of tying the record for 13 series wins in a row. It is a record they already set during the Cold War season in 2021 and tied again in 2023, having lasted over the previous two seasons.
The League returns next weekend for the start of the Major 2 Qualifiers. On the returning weekend, Atlanta is scheduled to play Vancouver Surge on Friday at 6 pm EST and OpTic Texas on Saturday at 6 pm EST. They will need to beat the Surge to tie the record, then OpTic to break the record. With the matches on the horizon, let’s take a look at their series win streak by the numbers!

Slow off the Blocks: 0-3 Start
The start of the season for FaZe? Dreadful. They fell to Toronto Ultra, LA Thieves, and Carolina Royal Ravens with a combined map count of 3-9. Fans were doubting them, their SnD looked a shell of the past, and speculation of roster moves went wild.
While they’d beat Vegas Falcons 3-1, the team needed to reset over the holiday break. Reportedly, the team fell in scrims to AM teams, losing a respawn map to Vegas (only respawn they won this Stage), and were well behind both LAT & OpTic Texas.
New Year, New Me
New patch, new maps, new FaZe. With Hacienda being added across all three modes, weapon tuning giving a slight boost to SMGs, and a new game plan, FaZe was able to get back on track fast. Starting with the Vegas match, then to the Minor and the Major, here was FaZe’s run:
○ 3-1 win vs Vegas Falcons (Major 1 Qual)
○ 3-1 win vs Miami Heretics (Minor 1 R1)
○ 3-1 win vs LA Thieves (Minor R2)
○ 3-2 win vs Minnesota Rokkr (Minor Semi-Finals)
○ 3-1 win vs Carolina Royal Ravens (Minor Finals)
○ 3-1 win vs Minnesota Rokkr (Major 1 Qual)
○ 3-0 win vs Boston Breach (Major 1 Qual)
○ 3-2 win vs Cloud9 New York (Major 1 Qual)
○ 3-0 win vs Boston Breach (Major 1 WR1)
○ 3-0 win vs Toronto Ultra (Major 1 WR2)
○ 3-2 win vs LA Thieves (Major 1 Winners Finals)
○ 4-3 win vs LA Thieves (Major 1 Grand Finals)
Now on a 12-series win streak, the record is within reaching distance for FaZe.
The Streak, by the numbers
55 days ago, FaZe took down the Vegas Falcons to get their first win of the season, making them 1-3 on the year. Let’s take a look at Atlanta’s stats over the last 55 days compared to the rest of the CDL.
The overall numbers are staggering to look at for the team. They are top 3 in almost every metric including:
○ 12-0 in Series (1st)
○ 37-14 in maps (1st)
○ 4-0 in Map 5s (1st)
○ 15-6 in Hardpoint (1st)
○ 14-3 in SND (1st)
○ 8-5 in Control (2nd)
○ 8-4 in Map 1s (3rd)

Hardpoint
Their Hardpoint shifted dramatically, allowing them to go toe-to-toe with any team in the League. So what changed? They started prioritizing winning the rotations, which has simplified the game for them and allowed their star players to get into easier gunfights. Here are their Hardpoint stats for the last 55 days:
○ 15-6 record, 71% win percentage (1st)
○ 7-2 in Map 4s (1st)
○ Even or winning Record on all 5 Maps (1st)
○ +42.1 average margin (1st)
○ Net +4.0 points per minute (1st)
○ 63.8% rotation win percentage (1st)
○ 67.3% hold percentage (9th)
○ 48.2% hold efficiency (4th)
○ 26.6% break percentage (9th)
These numbers show that they are winning Hardpoints by winning rotations. They aren’t extremely good at either Holding or Breaking, but by giving themselves a lot of hold opportunities, they are cashing in. The 4th ranked hold efficiency means that when they get broken, they are barely getting broken. When they are holding, they are getting high net points. This means that if they can clean up some hills (On Vault & Red Card specifically), they can actually get better.

SND
FaZe has been hands down the best SND team during their win streak. After seriously struggling in their first three series, their form returned. This turnaround hasn’t been just one player, as each of the four has been playing lights out. Let’s look at the numbers:
○ 14-3 record, 82% win percentage (1st)
○ 9-3 in Map 2s (1st), 4-0 in Map 5s (1st)
○ 6-1 record on LAN (1st)
○ 60.6% round win percentage (1st)
○ 62.5% opening duel win percentage (1st)
○ 76.0% conversion rate (3rd)
○ 44-34 record on Attack (1st)
○ 57.7% opening duel win percentage on ATK (1st)
○ 69.4% post-plant win percentage (1st)
○ 53-29 record on Defense (1st)
○ 67.1% opening duel win percentage on DEF (1st)
○ 55.1% retake win percentage (1st)
○ K/Ds: aBeZy (1.33), Cellium (1.24), Drazah (1.07), and Simp (1.25)
This insane run by FaZe has been the catalyst to their win streak. Without this form, they arguably wouldn’t have won either the Minor or Major tournaments. This is what makes this team so hard to beat.

Control
Finally, let’s look at Control. Control is what made FaZe dominant in Cold War. The swingmode is important to closing 3-0s, while allowing a pathway back to reverse sweeps, and giving big edges in 1-1 series. While it’s often overlooked, Control is still extremely important, as we saw in the reverse sweep against Thieves in the Winners Finals at the Major. Here is FaZe’s Control stats over the last 55 days:
○ 8-5 record, 62% win percentage (2nd)
○ 4-1 on LAN (1st)
○ 58.9% round win percentage (1st)
○ 3-4 in round 5s (8th)
○ 14-17 record on Attack (2nd)
○ -0.9 average life margin on ATK (3rd)
○ 3.5 ticks per Attack (7th)
○ 19-6 record on Defense (1st)
○ +3.7 average life margin on DEF (1st)
○ 3.3 ticks per Defense (3rd)
Elite defense, good attacking. If FaZe can continue to improve on the attacking side, which will also help their round 5s, then they can get even better in the mode.
Watch Atlanta FaZe play Vancouver Surge on Friday at 6 pm EST for a chance to tie the win streak record!
