Sources indicate the team's primary target is former Miami Heretics player Nicolas "Traixx" Monaco, with Carolina now aiming to finalize the signing soon. Negotiations had been complicated by the fact that Traix's contract was set to expire before the EWC even begins, with Telluride Bush Gaming seeking a payout tied to a clause in the deal. That dispute has reportedly been resolved, clearing the way for the signing to move forward.

Isaiah "Gwinn" Gwinn and Jonathan "Renegade" Willette were also on Carolina's radar as alternative options if the Traixx deal fell through. Still, Gwinn now appears headed to Cloud9 instead, narrowing the Ravens' backup plan.
