Best Vaznev-9k Loadouts | MWII Master Classes
The Vaznev-9k is the main weapon for competitive play in Modern Warfare 2. The SMG has many strengths including high mobility, good damage range, and a snappy ADS time. The weapon seems to get even stronger on LAN where it has allowed players to shine.
Unlike the TAQ-56, the SMG players in the CDL honed in on one weapon loadout. During the Major 1 cycle, there was eight different classes being used but they were slowly whittled down until we got to just one class.
Below is the main SMG class that CDL players use, along with three variations that have been used in recent times plus a class from Xclusive Ace.
Class #1
This is the main Vaznev-9k class that SMG players use in both the CDL and Ranked Play. The Bruen Pendulum is the best muzzle to use on the Vaznev due to its low vertical recoil. The stock and rear grip give the weapon great handling, which gives the gun a big advantage over the Lachmann SMG. The sprint out time, sprint speed, and strafe speed all at elite levels, which gives players the best chance to dominate Ranked lobbies.

Class #2
The second class is a variation of the first, with the only change being the swap from Bruen Pendulum muzzle to the Lockshot KT85 Muzzle. During the early days of the CDL season, players debated which muzzle was truly the best, as they’d switch between the two frequently. The Lockshot KT85 has less horizontal recoil but more vertical recoil compared to the Bruen Pendulum. The graphic below is from the Xclusive Ace video on ranked play weapons, and it shows the recoil pattern for the Lockshot. Give this class a go and see which muzzle gives the best recoil pattern for the Vaznev-9k.

Class #3
The next class is one that we haven’t seen in competitive play yet this season. Xclusive Ace made a video detailing his best Ranked Play classes, and for the Vaznev-9k this is the loadout that he made. Just like the first two classes, this one uses the FSS Sharkfin 90 Underbarrel, True-Tac rear grip, and Otrezat Stock. The one change sees the Bruen Cubic Compensator in the muzzle slot. Compared to the Lockshot KT85 Muzzle, the Bruen Cubic Comp has less vertical recoil while having only a 0.01x increase on horizontal recoil. Compared to the Bruen Pendulum it has more vertical recoil but less horizontal. If you can control the vertical recoil, this might be a new competitor to Class #1.

Class #4
The fourth class on the list is an older class that uses a barrel. This was a class used during the early stages of scrims, used by most notably Seth “Scump” Abner. The barrel gives a big increase in muzzle velocity (540 m/s to 610 m/s) while decreasing both horizontal and vertical recoil. The downside is that the ADS time is greatly increase (210ms to 264 ms), movement seed is decreased slightly, and the strafe speed is slightly decreased (2.67 m/s to 2.56 m/s). With the rest of the attachments, they help limit the negative impacts but this class still have slower ADS and mobility compared to the rest of the classes.

Class #5
The final class on the list another older class that was used during the early days of the CDL season. This class have the same 3 core attachments as the rest but has no muzzle attached. Without the muzzle, the weapon has a very fast ADS time. Without the muzzle the ADS time is 204 ms, while with any of the muzzles above it clocks in at 244 ms. If players can handle the increased recoil, this gun will give players a big advantage in gunfights.
